Dear Parents,
Ask your child what these words mean in math: SUM, DIFFERENCE, PRODUCT, QUOTIENT, MULTIPLE, FACTOR.

Math work means diving deeper into time and money. If you play store with your child, he or she would have to multiply, divide, add, and subtract. How much change would you receive if you bought 2 pencils that are 3/$1.00 and paid with 3 quarters???

We will have a walking FIELD TRIP on October 31 to see a film as part of the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.

Homework should take ONE hour. Please let me know if you are spending significantly more or less time on what I send. READ PLEASE, READ, READ, READ.

And ask your child what he or she wrote at school. We write every day.

Thanks for your support.

  2. Well Ms. Breit, Thank you so much for the comment. Sunday has come to mean “blog” for me and it looks like for you too! I don’t like my posts – too preachy!
    See you in school.
